Tampa continues to be the best team in the league. Nashville hot on there trails have now survived most of the heavy central division part of there schedule and look again like major cup contenders. Meanwhile Minnesota has smoked teams after a brief two game losing skid against Arizona and Colorado. Without Chicago in the mix this may be Minnesota’s best chance to win a cup. Boston sits only under Minnesota because the Bruins are winning close games but a win is a win no matter what way you slice it.
6. Pittsburgh
7. Vegas
8. San Jose
9. Los Angeles
10. Anaheim

Pittsburgh has survived without Matt Murray. Vegas has slipped over the past two weeks but looked to get it back together against the Red Wings. The Cali teams are a combined 19 wins in there last 30 games and power rankings are about whose hot and they are the hottest.
11. Toronto
12. Washington
13. Columbus
14. Colorado
15. New Jersey

Toronto is constantly up and down, one night looking like a cup contender the next collapsing in the third period. Washington is playing well and playing balanced hockey, no one is talking about them so this might actually be the Caps year. Columbus wins the games they need to and look like a playoff team. Then you look at Colorado snatching points from teams they need to snatch points from by getting to OT but they need to win at least three to four straight to be safely in a playoff spot and they will have to not lose back to back for the rest of the year.
