Here we are 15 weeks through the NFL season and people all around you will want to tell you what we know about all these teams fighting for playoff positioning. Well guess what, I look around the league and I don’t know what half these teams are yet. They change constantly, week to week looking like polar opposite operations. So here are four teams that we don’t know about coming down the stretch.
The Pittsburgh Steelers
What is this team? They go from world beaters to a concerning watch in a matter of weeks. The run game even with Conner in has disappeared, the defense is completely faulty and Ben seems like he’s always got a new injury. How are we to judge a team like this from week to week? Antonio Brown has vanished into thin air over the past three weeks. Within the next three weeks the Steelers will play a pissed of Patriots team and the steam rolling Saints. This might not even be a playoff team.
The New England Patriots
Who would have ever thought that the Patriots would be in this situation? This team is impossible to figure out and you almost think to yourself, maybe it doesn’t matter at all until the playoffs. Are the hapless Dolphins going to challenge this team for the division? No. So maybe we just won’t know what the Patriots are until January. For now though all we know is they fluctuate week to week from having a good defense to having a good offense. The Patriots haven’t played a complete game all year. There is always something about this team that you can point to and say, that needs to be better. However typing that sentence isn’t that the way most NFL teams are? The Patriots feel different this year not because they are bad but because they are no longer deities playing in a league of mortals, they are now mortal.
The Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks have been up and down all year. Morphing from a decent defense to a great offense with a struggling defense over the past few weeks. The Seahawks are just in the middle right now and a lot will be determined in there clash tonight with the Minnesota Vikings who bring the close to this series of teams.
The Minnesota Vikings
In one word, meh. What does this team do at an elite level? Nothing. What does this team do consistently? Nothing. They seem to be in almost constant flux the only out right take I have about this team is as follows. No matter what, don’t fire Zimmer. Because someone else will scoop him up to turn their franchise around in a second.
