NHL Power Rankings: Bruins Caps Remain Class Of The League.

The NHL has hit its second bench mark, Thanksgiving. The league has two clear cup contenders in the Bruins and Capitals and the rest of the league is a bit of a jumbled mess. Let’s take a look at where the league stands.

1. Boston
2. Washington
3. Edmonton
4. Saint Louis
5. New York Islanders
The Capitals and Bruins continue neck and neck as the best teams in Hockey. Both with tremendous depth and excellent goaltending. Driven by all stars, David Pastrnak and Alex Ovechkin. The Oilers meanwhile are finding there footing in goal and continue to stay hot.
6. Dallas
7. Arizona
8. Pittsburgh
9. Carolina
10. Colorado
Dallas is the hottest team in hockey right now, lead by Tyler Seguin with 21 points and supported by a young pair of talents in Miro Heiskanen and Roope Hintz. Meanwhile the Coyotes are trying to keep pace with the Oilers. While the Penguins have gotten points in 7 of there last ten games and are beginning to look like a playoff team in the eastern conference. The return of Mikko Rantenen looks like it is near for the Colorado Avalanche. They have survived nicely over the time the Moose has been gone. There is depth in Colorado and they should be taken seriously.
11. Winnipeg
12. Philly
13. Florida
14. New York Rangers
15. Vancouver
I don’t usually write explanations this far down the list but I feel I need to justify the Rangers. This team is playing great hockey right now. They are suddenly committed to defense and the scoring hasn’t dried up. The Rangers look like a playoff team right now.
16. Las Vegas
17. Montreal
18. San Jose
19. Calgary
20. Toronto
21. Tampa Bay
22. Nashville
23. Buffalo
24. Chicago
25. Anaheim
26. Columbus
27. Minnesota
28. New Jersey
29. Ottawa
30. Los Angeles
31. Detroit
