Bears Vikings
A case of a Kirk Cousins hot streak. The QB is just that, streaky, when Kirk is getting easy throws and making them this Vikings team more often than not is winning.
I still won’t ever put this team as a real playoff noisemaker until I see it but the facts are the facts, in a weak division this team is probably on its way to winning 10 or 11 games.
Credit to the Viking’s defense, when they’ve needed stops in key moments this year they have gotten them. Za’Darius Smith has been a home run signing as he leads the team with three and a half sacks.
The Bears look like an offense that occasionally can be semi watchable. Dante Pettis is a problem though, he had several key drops in the loss to the Vikings. Get Justin Fields in the open field and let him go to work, that’s when the passer is at his most brilliant, when he is using his legs.
Bills Steelers
Josh Allen is just one of the best passers of the past ten years. It’s that simple, the stuff he does on a weekly basis is jaw-dropping. I sort of don’t even want to write about him when I talk about the Bills anymore, his consistency is now the best part of his game.
Allen is a threat to drop 300 yards through the air each week. He just deals with adversity and pressure with such ease. I am out of praise, he is basically two to three seasons away to with Patrick Mahomes being considered one of the best passers to ever play in the league. Dude is just special.
Meanwhile, Gabe Davis is making Madden catches for long touchdowns and adding a vertical threat to this Bills offense, or I should say yet another vertical threat.
Oh and hey, look, new Bills weapons just dropped Khalil Shakir had an awesome day and provides even more depth to the deepest offense in the league.
The Steeler’s defense is a mess, just no other way to put it, this group is just bad. The secondary is the main issue but the fact of the matter is this, losing TJ Watt just isn’t something you recover from.
There are signs of life from the offense though, love the looks of George Pickens and Kenny Pickett as a connection.
Jets Dolphins
Put some respect on the Jets, please. I understand, third-string QB, I get it, but the Jets have some legitimate talent on the roster now.
Sauce Gardner is as saucy as they come, and yes I am now referring to him as Sauce, he’s earned the nickname. Dude has been great this year and played very well.
Zach Wilson is doing a great job of hitting the open throws, that’s what good QBs do. They hit the open throws and Wilson has been very good at that this year thus far.
The Jet’s defensive line is fast and scary and causing havoc all over the place, are the Jets a playoff team? Maybe not but this is going to be the most competitive season in Jets land since 2016. Things look like they are on the up and up. Oh and Breece Hall, that guy has the juice.
Titans Commanders
Getting Derrick Henry involved in the passing game has made this Titans team dynamic offensively. They still struggle up front though with protection and that hurts the product overall.
The offense is up and down but I do not want to see what this defense looks like in three weeks. They look like they are rounding into form as one of the most dominant units in the conference. Things look positive for the Titans D.
The Commanders are a waste, it sucks they don’t have a good QB because they may have one of the deepest passing weapon pools in the conference. Dyami Brown is electric and he’s the third string receiver for this team. Ron Rivera is ready to throw Wentz under the bus and did this week.
He sounds like a man no longer interested in running this football operation. The Football team is just a lost entity at this point, oh and the owner has threatened to “blow up the league” if other owners try to remove him. Just a really awful situation all around, I feel bad for Washington fans, they do not deserve this.
"Why are the other NFC East teams ahead of you?"
"Quarterback."
