3 things we learned from Broncos opening night

  1. Trevor Siemian is not nearly as bad as people think: Siemian looked poised and prepared throwing for 178 yards a touchdown and 2 interceptions. One of which was a defensive tip ball on a screen.  Siemian looked ready to go and next week I hope he will show off even more against a nonexistent Colts defense.
  2. The Broncos defense until the fourth quarter looked average: Considering the fact that this defense literally won a championship on their own last year, this opening performance had to be considered disappointing. Denver’s dilapidated d had 2 sacks and only one turnover that came in the form of a Chris Harris Junior Interception. The good news as the game went on the defense improved there was certainly  a lot to be excited about for this d but they have set the bar very high for themselves.
  3. On to the next one: Denver hosts Indianapolis next Sunday and the Panthers return home to face the Niners in week 2
