A brief Love letter to the Indians and the city of Cleveland in general

The Cleveland Indians are going to the world series. Behind the red hot bats of Jose Ramirez and Francisco Lindor. I’m not a huge baseball fan nor do I know much about baseball so feel free to disagree with everything I say in this article I’m just going off the stats. I know this though the Indians have made me fall in love with baseball.

Cleveland was a city down on its sports luck. The Browns historically bad, The Cavaliers heartbroken long ago by Lebron James move to Miami, The Blue Jackets have not been amazing let’s just say the past few years. That all changed when Cleveland’s prodigal son Lebron returned and this summer for the first time in 50 years brought the city of Cleveland a championship. That seemingly changed the summer of a slumping Indians ball club and behind Jose Ramirez 176 hits from June to October landed The Indians a spot in the post season fray. Matched up against the red sox and big papi trying to end his career on a big note in the ALDS Francisco Lindor did not disappoint in slamming Cleveland into the conference finals.

So many people obsess over the cubs drought what they don’t understand is obviously the Indians have not won a world series since 1948. It’s about time the Indians cruised their way into October. This team has made a believer out of me count me in for believe land again. The Indian summer may just ride all the way into November.
