Brock Oswieler and what he demonstrates about the value of quarterbacks in the NFL

Brock Oswieler demonstrates how valuable quarterbacks are in this league:  7 starts, 7, was all it took for Texans quarterback Brock Oswieler  to make $72 million dollars. And that is because he is better than Collin Kaepernick, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Rg3 combined. Really? Oswieler has very little starting experience and is now being paid more than a journey man qb that started all16 games last year and two high quality backups at best? It really does show how the QB is the most important position in today’s NFL. Just imagine what if a Russel Wilson were out on the market. Wilson I imagine would go for $140 million and imagine if the NFL was like the MLB today with no salary cap, were talking a guy like Wilson probably making 200 to 300 million dollars. Overall the market for the men who throw the pig skin this year was thin, yes, but to crown a 7 game starter like Oswiler the elite one in the bunch? Oswielier had 10 touchdowns and six interceptions in his seven starts and only a 61% completion ratio. That’s Elite? The other thing about Oswieler is his character he left Denver because he got butt hurt he was benched for one of the greatest QBs in NFL history. Do you really want a guy who can’t take being benched because his performance was not cutting it against the chargers? You didn’t see Ryan Fitzpatrick pin the team’s lackluster performance against the Bills in the final week on anyone but himself. Isn’t that the kind of guy you want to represent your franchise? Or do you want the Guy who cried because he was benched for a future hall of famer?  Plus   Isn’t Ryan Fitzpatrick more proven? And the Jets won’t even pay him $18 million. And in 7 starts Brock Oswieler proved himself good enough for $72 million dollars with 10 touchdowns and six interceptions? I just don’t know about that, I just don’t know.
