I’M THE GM: Fixing the NFC’s roster problems minus the conference champion Falcons

NFC East

Dallas Cowboys: Trade Tony Romo to the highest bidder. As proposed in my AFC piece why not KC? Romo for Alex Smith and a first round pick or Jammal Charles. Then just retain pieces and maybe add a low price weapon for Dak like Brandon Lafell.

New York Giants: Add a running back, Luring Jaquizz Rodgers who did a great job filling in for Doug Martin in Tampa Bay to the big apple would make the backfield a threat for the Giants.

Washington: Keep Kirk Cousins in the building. Despite his break down in the last two weeks of the season Cousins proved he can be the franchise guy for Washington. He will be expensive but if you have to give up Desean Jackson for Kirk Cousins, take Cousins.

Philadelphia Eagles: Surround your promising young QB with weapons. Vincent Jackson would be fun or drafting a wide out in the second round.

NFC North

Green Bay: Find a replacement for Eddie Lacy. Lacy hasn’t panned out as well as people thought he would after his rookie season. Weight gain and injury have hampered Lacy’s last two seasons the free agent running back class is deep and maybe you pick up Leonard Fournette in the draft.

Minnesota: Draft a line man if Teddy Bridgewater isn’t ready for 2017 you may have a QB problem on your hand but don’t fix it this offseason. When Sam Bradford had protection last year he was a good starting QB. Fix the line first and see if you can get back to the playoffs that way.

Chicago Bears: Improve a good defense and play to John Foxes strength. Even though the bears need a QB they should take a CB in the draft and stick with the backups in Chicago. Fox is a defensive coach so give him the tools to make a great defense. Trade away Jay Cutler for literally anything.

Detroit Lions: Improve a bad defense. Matthew Stafford proved he is a franchise QB you need to give him a defense and this team could go to a Conference title game I’m convinced on that. Grab more low priced receivers and hold on to Anqaun Boldin.

NFC South

Carolina Panthers: Go after a big name free agent lineman. Give Cam time and let him dominate the league again.

New Orleans Saints: Just get one good defensive player come on guy’s win Drew Brees another one before he’s done.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Nothing reload and take a shot next year Winston is ready to take the next step it’s all on him.

NFC West

Seattle Seahawks: Fix your offensive line through the draft and keep the defense intact.

Arizona Cardinals: More O line fixes. Jeesh a lot of teams just need better o lines.

La Rams: Get Jared Goff ready to go and add a weapon at receiver.

49ers: Oh my god where to start. Kyle Shanahan has the hardest job out there he needs a QB first. Trade for Jimmy G is one option but perhaps the better one is grab a low cost free agent QB as a bandaid and wait until next year. Geno Smith is an option a better one though is Mike Glennon. If he’s on the board take Watson too just start swinging at QB talent.
