Late Night Sports Ponderings: The Devil We Know, The NCAA.

Sometimes you just can’t sleep. You toss and turn and nothing happens, some people get depressed and anxious about it I come to this blog and write about sports. So what am I thinking about tonight. I really have my mind set on one thing, the NCAA. Now let me preface this by being one hundred percent honest with you, no matter what I say or believe just like you in March I will fill out fifty March Madness Brackets and slack off my life responsibilities for two weeks to watch college basketball, that isn’t going to change, that is perhaps why the subject I come to talk about today will not change.

I have come to really dislike the NCAA. They are really when you think about it enforcing indentured servitude. You work for them playing there sports and improving there product and they don’t pay you back monetarily. Instead their excuse is, oh your getting your education paid for. That is all fine and well but when you also sell jerseys posters and autographs of players and don’t let them take money you are exploiting them. The NCAA should allow players to profit off there own likeness. I really don’t get the argument against that. Like you think a college kid cant handle some extra money, these guys are adults let them have adult responsibilities. Amateurism is really just an NCAA ploy to fill their already stuffed pockets with more cash.

Good night America, ponder that.
