NHL Power Rankings

  1. Washington Capitols: Alex Ovechkin and the Capitols are rolling through the east and seemingly on there way to a Stanley Cup. If the team remains healthy and there bottom lines get going the Capitol has a cup in store.
  2. Dallas Stars: Jaime Benn, Tyler Seguin the NHL’s top stars at the moment are bringing hockey success to Texas? Putting the fact the wests best team plays in the lone star state aside the Stars are getting it going and on the verge of making a playoff run.
  3. Florida Panthers: On the Back of one Roberto Luongo the Panthers are on there way to the first playoff berth in nearly a decade. And with a vet in Jaromir Jagr leading a young core it might not happen this year. But a cup is in the cards.
  4. Chicago Blackhawks: No surprise here, Kane and Toews are still lighting up the league. They also have a young star coming up Artemi Panarin is ready to carry some of the load another west conference finals is in the cards.
  5. Los Angeles Kings: After a year of missing the playoffs the kings are ready to make another grand entrance into the playoffs. Jonathan Quick is back to being himself and it seems like a playoff run is no longer a fantasy stuck in the castle tower.
  6. Saint Louis: Again there killing the regular season. Talk to me when you make it past the first round of the playoffs.
  7. New York Rangers: Hendrik Lundquivst is killing the goalie position and then the offense is rolling it’s the same old same old.
  8. New York Islanders: Halak is back and this team has now had playoff experience however they have to keep winning to avoid a playoff rematch with the Washington Capitols.
  9. Boston Bruins: The year off seemed to help. As Brad Marchand is back in the groove and Tukka Rask again looks unstoppable the bruins are back baby.
  10. Tampa Bay: High powered offense check. Goalie check. Defense check. Happy players and good salary cap uhh not so much.
