Players Who Won Last Night Of The Draft

Players in the best scenarios

Bradley Chubb Denver
This was an excellent pick for the Broncos buying into the defense. Chubb will learn from one of the best pass rushers in the leauge in Von Miller. Add Shane Ray and the Broncos look like one of the best pass rushes in the leauge.

Josh Rosen Cardinals
Josh Rosen was passed on by too many teams and has a massive chip on his shoulder. Love him or hate him he landed in a great situation. A young coach in Steve Wilks with Veteran QB Sam Bradford to help him along the way. Rosen landed in a great situation for him and I would expect us to look back in ten years and wonder why he fell this far.

Derwin James Chargers
The fact James, a guy some considered the best safety in the draft, fell to 17 was shocking. The Chargers just got themselves the most dominant defense in the AFC west though. Casey Heyward is your shut down corner, Melvin Ingram and Joey Bose your stud pass rushers, and you add a fantastic hybrid Honey badger type safety. You have to consider the Chargers as one of the best rosters in the AFC especially if Mike Williams there first rounder last year gets healthy.

Roqaun Smith Bears
The Bears defense just went from one of the most underrated in the league to one of the best in the leauge. Pairing him with Trevathan is a total win for the Bears, been saying this since free agency, don’t sleep on the bears.

Isaiah Wynn Patriots
The Patriots got in my estimation, not an o line guru but Georgia’s o line was dominant, got one of the best o linemen in the draft. Suddenly the Patriots offensive line just got a whole lot better. That has to scare the crap out of the AFC.

Calvin Ridley Falcons
I have no idea no freaking idea how Ridley fell this far. It sucks for him because he’ll make less money but for the Falcons oh my god this is a great pick. Sarkisian just got one of his top play makers from Bama and now that Falcons wide out core with Julio Sanu and Ridley looks down right dangerous.
Jaire Alexander Packers
Our resident Louisville guy Tristan Beckmann swears by Alexander as the best CB in the draft. Indeed he is a physical shut down corner and the Packers addressed a need. I like this pick more though because the Packers down right won draft night by fleecing the Saints for there first round pick. Even if this doesn’t work out the Packers have some serious capital to work with next year with a roster that will need serious restructuring over the next two to three years.

Leighton Vander Esch Cowboys
The Boys could have gone wide out but improving the linebacking core helps him.

Sony Michel Patriots
The Patriots just grabbed a great running back. This backfield looks really intriguing right now. The Patriots are going to rely heavily on passing out of the backfield and running game this year. The Patriots have to be considered massive winners of night one of the Draft.

Lamar Jackson Ravens
Jackson lands on a team with offensive mastermind’s targets and a veteran to learn behind. He’s going to be able to improve accuracy issues and foot work behind Flacco. I love this pick for the Ravens and guess what my bold prediction is that Joe Flacco is riding the pine by week 3.
