The Viewing Guide: Italian Rivalries and Bayerns Bullet Train

The viewing guide is back as the football season in Europe presses forward after deadline day. Let’s take a look at the viewing guide for a few games to keep an eye on in Europe this weekend.

England

Fulham @ Tottenham Hotspur 8 a.m. MT Saturday, September 3rd.

Hard not to put this clash on the list. Fulham have looked like a Prem side ready to stay up and battle this year. Striker Aleksandar Mitrovic has led the way this season, meanwhile, Tottenham sit at third in the table with ten points. It is hard not to look at this game and immediately think it will be one of the best this weekend, definitely worth checking out.

Arsenal @ Manchester United 9:30 a.m. MT Sunday, September, 4th.

The team at the top of the table, Arsenal, going up against a Manchester United team that have gone from panic to three straight wins. The plan for United has become clear over the past three weeks, that plan is defend, the red devils have been very good defensively over the past three weeks and are coming off a mid-week win against struggling Leicester.

If United were to win this game it would announce them as a true threat to finish in a Champions league spot in England. This is a massive game for United.

Germany Viewing Guide

TSG Hoffenheim @ Dortmund 12:30 p.m. MT, Friday, September, 2nd.

After a classically Dortmund loss to Bremen, the yellow shirts are back on track. They play a Hoffenheim side that have played well this season but will face their first real test of the year in Dortmund.

Bayern Munich @ Union Berlin 7:30 a.m. Saturday, September, 3rd.

Now I really, really doubt their are any Union Berlin fans reading this blog right now. Like I really doubt anyone is reading this blog right now in fact. So let me, as a Bayern supporter talk down to these folks from Berlin.

Hey buddy, it’s really cute what you’ve got going on here, top of the table and all, does it feel nice? Are you enjoying yourselves?

Well unfortunately I have bad news, you will not be enjoying yourself when the out-of-control bullet train outbound north diverts onto your southbound tracks and Bayern rolls through you with seven goals. So enjoy this nice moment while you have it.

Italy

Inter Milan @ AC Milan

Italian derby day, what more can you really ask for? Inter look to be a team chasing Italian glory while this game remains a must-win for AC Milan who could fall out of the top four with a loss. Lautaro Martinez finding his form is dangerous, here comes Italy’s best dish, a ferocious rivalry in September.
