Coaches on the hot seat

On Sunday the NFL released its list of recommended coaches list, an early preparation for black Monday. So I decided to add to that list, below are some names some surprising (see the NFC North), that will be looking for a job come the second week of January. As is tradition we will make a more complete list at the end of the season, for right now though lets enjoy the football gods wrath and project who’s unemployed come mid-January.

AFC North

Surprisingly this division is pretty safe. Mike Tomlin has a nice tenure that will keep him in the burg until Big Ben retires. Jim Harbaugh is one of the most respected coaches in the league and he has got this team playing back on its 9-7 pace. Shockingly the two most secure positions in this division are the two worst teams. The Bengals have loyalty, maybe too much so, to their staff under the Brown family rule. The Browns were expected to win 3 games at most this year so rookie head coach Hue Jackson has at least two more years of job security.

AFC East

Everyone in this division is safe.

AFC South

Chuck Pagano: This guy has basically let Andrew Luck coach the offense for the past 3 years and has done nothing to improve the defense.

Gus Bradley: The Jaguars expectations were to have an over 4 win season this year, that’s not going to happen.

AFC West

Mike Mcoy: After a fairly hot start as a head coach his first two years the last two he has fallen off big time. With pressure mounting to move the Chargers they will want a more reliable head coach, unlike the Rams formula 7-9 is not acceptable.

NFC East

Best division in football why would they fire any of there coaches?

NFC North

Mike Mcarthy: SURPRISE!!! Mcarthy and Rodgers had a nice run in Green Bay but if they miss the playoffs oh boy. The tension between these two is palpable to the press and is tearing the Packers apart, expect big changes in Green Bay this offseason.

John Fox: I would say he’s safe but it seems like the bears are finally starting to have standards. First it’s out with fox then bye bye Jay Cutler. Bears fans breathe a sigh of relief as the rebuild that should have started 3 years ago begins.

NFC south

Sean Payton: This is wishful thinking I’ll admit but it’s time for a change in big easy.

NFC West

Jeff Fisher: Dear Los Angeles Rams, I beg of you don’t put up with, as Jeff Fisher put it, anymore 7-9 Bullshit. Make this team fun, give Jared Goff a chance, and fire the Cancer inside the building that is Jeff Fisher. I’m Convinced I could coach better than Jeff Fisher. You got a problem with that Jeff Fisher? Come at me let me coach a game for the Rams.
